The Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon
(TriMet), in Portland, Oregon is seeking an Operations Manager for
its new Wilsonville-Beaverton Commuter Rail line, which begins
revenue service Septem ber 2008. Manages Commuter Rail
vehicle maintenance TriMet employees, including hiring, training,
supervision, scheduling and assignm ent of work, and safe
workplace practices: and manages vehicle maintenance shop
operations, SOPs, maintenance scheduling and records, FRA
compliance, parts and shop equipment, fleet fueling, cleaning and
washing, and operations facility cleaning. M anages TriMet
contracts for railroad services for Commuter Rail transportation
and maintenance of way operations, coordinating with railroad
officials on a daily basis. Recommends TriMet payments for
contracted railroad services. Coordinates services by other TriMet
departments for Commuter Rail operations, including stations
cleaning, stations and park/rides facilities maintenance, ticket
vending machine maintenance, and customer services.
Requirem ents are Bachelor's degree in business or public
administration, transportation management, or related discipliné,
with eight years progressively responsible experience in passenger
railroad or urban rail transit operations. Management experience
in railroad or rail transit vehicle maintenance is desired.
TriMet offers a competitive salary and fringe benefit package. Salary
range is $74,741-$112,110.
