Rapper Mims and R&B singer Akon is lead­
ing the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with
their respective tunes "This Is Why I'm Hot"
and "Don't Matter."
This Is Why I'm Hot," which soared 31
places to take the crown at the beginning of the
month, has been gathering steam at radio for
some weeks. Its success led to interest from the
major labels, and Mims(full name: Sean Mims) Mims
signed with Capitol late last year. It will release
his album. "Music is My Savior," on March 27.
