On M arch 21 m em bers o f G rant’s A m ­ nesty International Human Rights club and G ra n t's G ospel C hoir, acco m p an ied by teacher Dpig W inn and retired Integration Specialist Charles Hunter, will travel to Selma, Ala. to walk the 54 miles King and others walked in a dem onstration for voting rights in 1965. The group will visit the Rosa Parks M emorial and other sites in connection with K ing's work. Before the trip, the group will study the historical context o f the Civil Rights m ovem ent and do several 10-mile walks to get in shape for their march. Last sum m er W inn took a student group to H iroshim a and Nagasaki Japan to honor the victims o f the nuclear attacks in those cities. Student participants met with survi­ vors from those attacks.
