Comedian Franken to Run for Senate
(AP) - Comedian and radio talk
show host Al Franken has de­
cided to run for U.S. Senate in
Minnesota, a senior Democratic
official from Minnesota said.
Franken told the official, who
did not want to be identified be­
cause Franken has not made an
announcement, that he had de­
cided to run in a recent conver­
sation.
The news was not unexpected.
Franken has been calling mem­
bers of the Minnesota congres-
