Georgia Marie Taylor Funeral services for Georgia Marie Taylor were held Tuesday, Nov. 7 at Bethel AMF Church in northeast Portland. She was bom Nov. 23.1924 in Texarkana, Ark., the third child of three d au g hters to G eorge and C allie Stamps. She entered eternity on Nov. 1, 2006. She moved to New York City after graduating from Booker T. W ashington High School in Texarkana in 1942 and attended beauty school. She later relocated to Portland where she met and mar­ ried Fred Taylor Jr. who died in 1966. From this union came two sons, G regory Allen and Fred In Loving Memory Thay Mitchell Carter Mrs. Thay Mitchell Carter, 68, a former Portland resident died Oct. 28,2006. Funeral services were sched­ uled Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the Forney Church o f Christ in Forney, Texas. Survivors include her hus­ band.
