Stevie Wonder Honored for Civil Rights

ceived a Lifetime Achievement
Award from the National Civil
Rights Museum in Memphis,
Tenn., then segued from his
acceptance speech into a med­
ley o f his songs that included
"My C herie Amour" and "I
Wish."
W onder, 56, received the
honor Oct. 17. The museum also
awarded civil rights pioneer Dr.
Joseph Lowery the National Free­
dom Award and Doc­
tors Without Borders
co-founder Bernard
Kouchner the Inter­
national Freedom
Award.

the Face of Half Dome, Yosemite

Mexico," are part of 48 spec­
tacular signed black-and-white
photographs by Adams in the
exhibit. The collection was se­
lected by Adams himself.
