Coach Dennis
Carline Bio
Dennis Carline graduated from
Crenshaw High School in Los An­
geles Calif. Mr. Carline then at­
tended LA Southwest Jr. College,
where he ran cross country and
track and field for Jim Tompson.
Carline then came to Oregon
where he attended Pacific Univer­
sity in Forest Grove and ran track
and played basketball. In track
Carline excelled in the triple jump,
long jum p, and both the 100m and
2(X)m relays. In basketball Dennis
played guard and forward, never
losing a jump bal I. He led his team in
rebounding and shot 57 percent
from the field for his career.
Dennis started teaching and
coaching in 1979 in what was
Glenhaven Middle Schixrl. He then
scouted baskethall for the boys
team at Madison High School.
Dennis's first high school job was
at Madison High School coaching his team scored 10-8 in league and
volleyball. The next year he began 12-12 overall, where he had his first
coaching volleyball at Benson High state playoff team.
Dennis coached 21 years and
