Sealed bids will be received at the Housing Authority of Portland
(HAP), 4400 NE Broadway, Suite B, Portland, Oregon 97213, until
2 :0 0 pm , Thursd a y A pril 6 , 2 0 0 6 for labor and m aterials for
work at Hillsdale Terrace, a 60 unit apartm ent complex, consisting
of eight three-story buildings located at 6775 SW 26th Avenue
Portland, Oregon 97219. Shortly thereafter, bids will be opened
and publicly read. The First Tier Subcontractor List, HAP-421, must be
received by 4:00 p.m. the same day. No bidder may withdraw their bid
after the hour set for opening until after the lapse of sixty (60)
days from the bid opening.
The basic work in each unit consists of: installation of a new heat
recovery ventilator, removal and replacement of unit heaters, mold
c le a n -u p and w all p re p a ra tio n , p a in tin g , som e c a b in e try,
m echanical, and electrical work.
Bid D ocum ents are available at the HAP Office noted above. A
$50 deposit for one set and $20 (twenty) for each additional set
is refundable when docum ents are returned within 10 days after
bid opening.
Attendance of bidders is mandatory at a pre-bid tour of the project at
Hillsdale Terrace Apartm ents, at address listed above at 10:00 am.
Thursday March 23. 2006. Questions posed during the tour, not
addressed in the docum ents, will be answ ered by addendum .

The Metro Auditor, an elected official of Metro, a metropolitan
service district organized under the laws of the State of Oregon and
the Metro Charter, located at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR

Proposals will be due no later than 4:00 p.m., March 30, 2006, in
the Metro Auditor’s office.
All questions relating to this RFP should be addressed to Metro

schedule up to ninety (90) m inutes with Metro staff to answer
additional questions. Any questions, which in the opinion of Metro,

Metro is the nation’s only directly elected regional governm ent.
M etro’s prim ary responsibilities include regional land use and
transportation planning, solid waste disposal and waste reduction
programs, Oregon Zoo operations, open spaces acquisition, regional
park m anagem ent and operation of the region's spectator facilities.
Metro accom plishes the latter through the Metropolitan Exposition-
Recreation Com m ission (MERC). The Metro Council, com posed of
six councilors who represent individual districts inside M etro’s
jurisdiction, governs Metro. The Metro Council conducts its business
in weekly meetings. M etro’s Auditor is elected region-wide. The
Metro Auditor provides financial and performance audits of M etro’s
program s and activities.
