All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in
cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount
equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal.
Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and
furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in
the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to
the City of Camas.
Plans and specifications may be purchased at Camas City Hall,
616 NE 4lb Avenue for $25.00 plus 7.9% sales tax, which is non-
refundable. Informational copies of maps, plans, and specifications
are on file for inspection in the Public Works Department, Camas,
Washington.
The improvements for which bids will be received follows:
Bid opening on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
The work consists of installing 544 L.F. of 12" diameter Corrugated
Polyethylene Storm Sewer Pipe, 114 L.F. of 8" diameter Corrugated
Polyethylene Storm Sewer Pipe, 3 each Type I catch basins, 4 each
storm manholes, 1 each splitter manhole, 1 each 72" Stormwater
360 Storm Filter manhole with 7 cartridges, 4 each ADS 18"
diameter area drains, 542 L.F. 6" diameter class 52 ductile iron
water pipe, 2 each fire hydrant assemblies, connect existing water
services to new water main, install 639 L.F. of concrete curb and
gutter, 604 L.F. of rolled concrete curb and gutter, 339 S.Y. of new
concrete sidewalk, 223 TONS of Class "A" asphalt pavement, 1,275
S.Y. in-place cement treated base (C.T.B.), 2 TONS of cement for
C.T.B., and other related items.
This project is financed through the Community Development Block
Grant program with funds obtained from the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development. The contract is subject to
regulations of the Departments of Labor, and Housing and Urban
Development.
Attention is called to federal provisions for equal employment
opportunity, HUD Section 3 Requirements, and the minimum Davis
Bacon wages as set forth in the contract documents.
