NE 3 8 ,h AVENUE NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENTS
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Cam as, Office of the
Finance Department, 616 NE 4,h Avenue, Camas, Washington, until
2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 14,2006, and will then and there be
publicly read for the construction of the im provem ent.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in
cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an am ount
equal to five percent (5%) of the am ount of such bid proposal.
Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and
furnish satisfactory perform ance bond within the tim e stated in
the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to
the City of Cam as.

Plans and specifications may be purchased at fcamas City Hall,
616 NE 4th Avenue for $25.00 plus 7.9% sales tax, which is non-
refundable. Informational copies of maps, plans, and specifications
are on file for inspection in the Public W orks Departm ent, Cam as,
Washington.
The im provem ents for which bids will be received follows:
Bid opening on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
The work consists of installing 544 L.F. of 12" diam eter Corrugated
Polyethylene Storm Sewer Pipe, 114 L.F. of 8" diam eter Corrugated
Polyethylene Storm Sewer Pipe, 3 each Type I catch basins, 4 each
storm manholes, 1 each splitter m anhole, 1 each 72” Storm water
360 S torm Filter m anhole with 7 cartridges, 4 each AD S 18"
diam eter area drains, 542 L.F. 6 ” diam eter class 52 ductile iron
water pipe, 2 each fire hydrant assem blies, connect existing water
services to new water main, install 639 L.F. of concrete curb and
gutter, 604 L.F. of rolled concrete curb and gutter, 339 S.Y. of new
concrete sidewalk, 223 TONS of Class “A" asphalt pavement, 1,275
S.Y. in-place cem ent treated base (C.T.B.), 2 TONS of cem ent for
C.T.B., and other related items.
This project is financed through the Com m unity Development Block
Grant program with funds obtained from the U.S. Departm ent of
H ousing and Urban D evelopm ent. The contract is subject to
regulations of the D epartm ents of Labor, and Housing and Urban
Developm ent.
Attention is called to federal provisions for equal em ploym ent
opportunity, HUD Section 3 Requirements, and the minimum Davis
Bacon wages as set forth in the contract docum ents.
The City of Cam as reserves the right to reject any or all proposals if
found to be higher than the estim ated cost and to waive any
form ality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the City.
