Q ueen Latifah lives life to the fullest after
her doctor tells her that she had only a few
w eeks to live in the heartw arm ing rom antic
com edy "The Last H oliday .’’opening Friday,
Jan. 13 at theaters nationwide.

Latifah says the m ovie taps into a basic
human em otion.
“Try to imagine how you w ould feel if you

live," she said. “All the dream s, all the desires,
all the things you w anted to do and thoughts
you w anted to express are in jeopardy of
being unfulfilled, w here w ould you begin?”
Latifah plays G eorgia Byrd, w ho lives a
small life tucked inside big dream s. A shy
cookw are salesperson for a departm ent store,
she handles knives and skillets with the flair
o f a m aster ch ef and dream s o f one day
opening her ow n restaurant. She has a secret
crush on a eo-w orker, portrayed by LL Cool
J, but is too timid to let him know. H ow ever,
when a m isdiagnosis leads G eorgia to believe
her days are num bered, she decides that if she
has to go, she’s going to go out w ith a bang.
