Ahmed joined the Nike Centre
for Arts and Culture in Oshogbo,
Nigeria, a long-established artist's
communityin 1990, where he was a
quilter and batik maker. He has ex­
hibited his artworks in Germany,
Nigeria and in Santa Fe, N. M.
He moved to Portland in 2001
and has risen quickly within the
Portland art community.
