Outreach Program Coordinator

responsible for providing su pport for the
BlueWorks business recycling and the Master
Recycler program as well as the solid waste
and re c y c lin g c u s to m e r s e rv ic e and
enforcement team. Duties include providing
customer service over the phone and via email
to the public, businesses and waste haulers;
explaining administrative rules and programs;
resolving customer complaints, and answering
questions regarding w aste and recycling.
Additional duties include in te ractin g with
volunteers, coordin ating, d e ve lo p in g and
d is trib u tin g o u tre a c h m a te ria ls and
maintaining program specific databases. The
Outreach Program Coordinator is expected to
carry out his or her individual responsibilities
with initiative, independence and creativity,
while exercising sound problem-solving skills
and professional ju dgm en t. Approxim ate

tion on Southeast Hawthorne Boule­
vard with the heart-warming movie “All
I Want for Christmas,” Dec. l()at 2 p.m.
at the Cinemagic at 20th and Hawthorne.
Admission to the children's matinee
is of two or three cans of non-perishable
food for donation to FISH, a social ser­
vice agency on Hawthorne. The movie
will be preceded by carols sung by the
Girl Scouts.

Remembering electrical safety makes for

two-pronged sockets and don't overload
extension cords or outlets with too many
plugs.
Test extension cords, if they're hot to
the touch, it’s likely a sign of a serious
problem. Always turn off holiday lights
when going to bed or leaving home. Never
put extension cords under rugs, and keep
them away from water, heat sources or
metal pipes.

guisher in the home in case of electrical fire.
Most importantly be careful with chil­
dren around electrical outlets.
