The league announced in a memo
to team s on M onday that a m ini­
m um dress code will go into effect
at the start o f the regular season on
Nov. 1.
Players will be expected to w ear
business casual attire w henever
they participate in team or league
activ ities, including arriv in g at
gam es, leaving gam es and making
prom otional or other appearances.
“If th ey ’re trying to change the
image o f league, that’sc o o l,” Suns
forw ard Shaw n M arion said.
W hile the league may be trying
to present a better im age to its c o r­
porate partners, som e o f its players
fear that they may lose out on the
core fan base.
“W e d o n ’t really sell to big busi­
