a weekend o f celebratory events planned.
Water Celebrated
A weekend of wet and wild
events is in store to celebrate the
long-awaited re-opening of Water
W orks, the Portland C hildren’s
Museum’s much-loved water play
exhibit, Friday, July 15 to Sunday,
July 17.
Kids are invited to wear their
favorite watergear—swimsuits, rain
boots, fishing gear, or whatever
catches their fancy. The first 50
kids who come in costume on open­
ing day will receive a free W ater
Works water bottle.
The new exhibit features a 12-
foot high waterfall, a hand-cranked
“conveyor belt" that carries water
in whimsical recycled objects like

The appearance will be a hom ecoming of
