O ’G rady’s work has heen shown in galler­ ies and museums throughout Oregon and nation. Much of her work draws from her time in Palestine and Israel and reflects on the present conflict revealing the human faces behind the ongoing tragedy. Ellen is currently on a nation-wide tour to promote her new book, “Outside the Ark.’’ It is the culmination of her painting series of the same name whose inspiration came from her time living and working in the W est Bank. “Outside the Ark” tells the stories of indi­ vidual Palestinians living in the W est Bank. It links these stories and her story through a remembering of the Biblical flood.
