Local Burglary
Suspect Caught
A 36-year-old man was ar
rested March 16 on burglary
warrants after police responded
to a “burglary in progress” in the
76(X) block of North Curtis Av
enue.
A neighbor called police after
watching a man walk into the
back yard of a neighboring home
and force entry to a window.
Troy Michael Powell was ar
rested inside the home. D etec
tives continued the investiga
tion and recovered a substantial
amount of suspected stolen prop
erty from his residence, primarily
jewelry, smal I electronics and coin
collections.
Detectives believe the prop
erty was stolen within the past
thirty days from other homes in
ner north and northeast Portland.
