OTIA III State Bridge Delivery Program
Opportunities for Minority and
Women Firms and Workers
Oregon's biggest highway public works project in a
half-century is creating opportunities for minority and
women businesses and workers.
The $1.3 billion OTIA III State Bridge Delivery Program is part of the
Oregon Department of Transportation’s 10-year, $3 billion Oregon
Transportation Investment Act (OTIA) program. During the next eight to 10
years, ODOT will repair or replace hundreds of aging state highway bridges
throughout Oregon.
ODOT is committed to diversity in contracting
and hiring and to maximizing the participation of
women, minorities, and emerging small busi
nesses in the bridge program.
Workers will be recruited from local communi
ties whenever possible.
On-the-job training and apprenticeship programs
will enable Oregon workers to develop skills that
are transferable to other job opportunities in the future.
