Dear Deanna!
ONEONONE
I’m 25 years old and haven’t
found a good man yet. My son is
3 and he asked if I have a
boyfriend or if I’m married. He
told me it’s time for his mommy
to find a man. Men are very
hard to find. Wha, am I doing
wrong? — T. Truss; Toledo,

Dear Deanna!
I have three kids with a guy I
love a lot. He cheated on me so
I decided to move out and take
the kids. The move has affected
me financially and emotionally.
Yes, I realize no one is perfect
and we all have faults but I’m
trying to hang in there for the
sake of my kids. My boyfriend
and I have to eventually com
municate because of the chil
dren. How can I do this without
falling forhis love spell? -M iss

Dear Miss Brown:
Instead of thinking about a love
spell, you need to think about
raising your kids and providing
for their needs. You need to rely
on God during this stressful time
instead o f playing games with
the children’s unfaithful father.
1 suggest you pray for strength
and G od’s guidance as you take
things one step at a time. As a
woman with three kids, you
know what time it is and you
know exactly what kind of com
munication you need with this

Dear T. Truss:
All men are good; the one you
select just may not be good for
you. Immediately teach your son
about the institution of marriage
so he w o n ’t place another
woman in your situation. The
next time he tells you to get a
man. let him know that you have
one. His name is Jesus and when
he’s ready for you to have a
man in the flesh, he’ll send the
one meant for you. Until then,
focus on your faith so you’ll be
the d eserv in g God fearing
woman you need to be.

Dear Deanna!
I have a cousin that cheats on
her husband but that's her busi
ness. H ow ever, she claim s
she’s out with me and our
friends. On one occasion, she
had the nerve to tell me not to
call her house. The last lie was
when she told her husband that
I needed a jacket and she was
bringing it to my house. I live 60
miles away. Now her husband
acts funny towards me. —

Dear Anonymous;
Let your scandalous cousin
know that you want no part of
her infidelity. Advise her that
the next time she involves you
that you’re going to call her
husband and clear your name
on the spot. If that means she’ll
be mad, then oh well. She’ll get
over it. Your main concern is
eliminating your assumed in
volvement and name smear
ing. Her husband will eventu
ally get the picture and see that
you’ve done nothing wrong.

according to his party, people are

well with com munities o f color.
“The main way the Republican
Party appeals to minorities is it treat
them no differently than any other

He calls the assumption that
Republicans are a rich, white m an's

“I don’t think it’s fair to paint a
party or organization into a racial
com er unless they choose to put
themselves there." Trickey said.
He also says he doesn’t care to
know the racial m akeupof the party,
though he says it appears to be
consistent with the city’s dem o

"We do outreach based on an
area of town rather than a person’s
ethnicity,” he said.
With two high-profile African

Republican Party as inclusive to

But the majority of people in
power in the party remains white
and very few people of color are
registered Republican.
