killed Sunday after being shot

Blandena Street and Michigan
Avenue.
Police responded to a shots
fired call at 12:45 a.m. and

Street. She was transported to
the hospital and died several
hours later.

white police detective were angered
by the officer’s partial acquittal in
the case.

reckless homicide charges in the

Michael Newby, who was shot three
times in the back during an under­
cover drug buy.
