Festival of African Arts
The 15th annual H om ow o Festival o f African Arts is a two-day
com m unity-w ide event featuring jubilant African music and dance
performances, food, arts and crafts, storytelling and more. Events will be
held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 6-7 at
Portland State’s South Park Blocks.

Tillamook Cheese Anniversary
Featured will be ice cream cones for a
penny and cheese sampling. Families
can observe ice cream making through­
out the day, kids can play games and
win prizes and observe m ilking a cow.
Festivities begin at Pioneer Square,
dow ntow n on Friday, July 30 from 10
a.m. to 3 p.m. with a cow milking at
noon.
Oregon Air Show
The 17th Annual Air Show Aug. 13-15
at Hillsboro Airport features the nation­
ally renow ned U.S. Navy Blue Angels
jet team including death defying air­
borne acts, military fly-bys, historic
aircrafts and a spectacular evening of

Antiques Roadshow Comes to PDX
