Low -incom e fam ilies have a lot
to gain by filing taxes this year,
according to the Oregon Tax Credit
C oalition and the C om m ission on
Chi ldren. Fam ilies and Com m unity
w orking in partnership with the
W om en’s Law Center.
Q ualified w orking parents are
urged to file for these credits to
low er their taxes or increase their
refunds.
“Many families don’t know that
there have been significant increases
in federal and state tax credits that
can mean thousands o f dollars to
help them meet their child care and
other expenses," said Nancy Duff
Campbell, co-president o f the N a­
tional W om en's Law Center.
