Guy Bluford Is the first:

Bluford was the first African American in space. He
joined NASA in 1979 and in 1983 he was on board the
orbiter Challenger. This mission was the first with a
night launch and landing. With four missions under
his gravity belt. Astronaut Bluford has logged well
