A government takeover o f Pacific Power and PGE would cost more than $1 billion. It would create a new
layer of government with the ability to raise property taxes. It could easily lead to higher electric rates.
The Oregonian says, "Multnomah County voters should reject a costly and risky proposition to create
a people's utility district." (The Oregonian, Editorial, 10/17/03.) Your friends and neighbors, listed
below, agree. Please join them in voting NO on both Measures 26-51 & 52.
