Tribute to Left Eye

TLC, the best-selling female group in
music history, has a new CD entitled
“3D." The group's fourth album is a
loving tribute by Tionne “T-Boz" Watkins
and Rozonda “Chilli" Thomas to their
beloved friend and fellow group mem
ber, Lisa “left Eye" Lopes, who died in
a tragic car accident earlier this year.
One of the key cuts features “Girl
Talk," a no-holds-barred rap by the
much-missed Lopes.

Jazz Band Toots
its Own Horn
For the Portland Community Col
lege band, the music is about all
that jazz and more.
The PCC Jazz Band is a high-
energy, 40-member strong group
based at the college's Cascade Cam
pus. The eclectic band is quickly
becoming one of the more popular
local acts in Portland, wowing audi
ences at such venues as the North
west Car Classic Show at the Expo
Centeri in October.
"The organizers raved about our
performance and invited us back in
2003,” band member Ken Stine said.
"And, organizers of a similar event
held in Forest Grove on the campus
of Linfield College asked us to play
there next summer.”
Catch the PCC Jazz Band at 3 p.m.
on Sunday, Nov. 24 in the theater of
the Interstate Firehouse Cultural
Center, located at North Interstate.
