Coordinator. This position is
prim arily respon sible for
developing and implementing a
youth m entoring program by
recruiting, screening, training and
retaining volunteers; recruiting
and enrolling youth; monitoring
youth-mentor matches; engaging
all relevant parties to resolve
emergent issues; and providing
ongoing trainingfor mentors and
regular social activities for youth,
m entors and fa m ilies. The
primary purpose of this program
is to prevent juvenile delinquency,
decrease high school dropout
rates and improve academic
performance of middle-school
youth living in VHA-subsidized
housing. Develop and maintain
community partnerships.

“1 think the neighborhood’s re­
