Metro is soliciting Bids for “Demolition/Grading of the Blue Lake
Bath-House" (RFB # 03-1031-PKS). Bids must be enclosed in a
sealed envelope and mailed or delivered to the Metro Regional
Parks and Greenspaces Department, 600 NE Grand, Portland,
Oregon 97232-2736, Attention, Laurie Wulf, Property Management
Specialist, no later than 3:00 p.m., October 18th, 2002, when they
will be publicly opened in Room 274 at the Metro Regional
Headquarters at 600 NE Grand, Portland. The sub-contractors list
must also be submitted no later than 3:00 pm, Oct. 18,n, 2002. A
bid may not be submitted by Facsimile (FAX) transmittal.
Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting: October 15*. 2002 at Blue Lake Park
Bath-House, 9:00AM.

All bids must be clearly and distinctly typed or written with ink or
indelible pencil. All blank spaces must be completed. No erasures
are permitted. Mistakes must be crossed out and corrections
typewritten or written in ink adjacent thereto, and initialed in ink by
the party signing the Bid, or his authorized representative.
Written amounts shall be shown in both words and figures. Words
shall govern in cases of discrepancy between the amounts stated
in words and the amount stated in figures.
All bids must be on the form furnished by Metro or they may be
rejected by Metro. Where plans and specifications are attached to
the bid, they must be returned by the Bidder with the bid.
All bidders must be registered with the Oregon Construction
Contractors Board pursuant to ORS 671.530.
Metro Code provisions 2.04.100 and 200 require all Bidders/
Proposers to follow and document a specific good faith outreach
effort to State certified Minority, Emerging and Women-owned
Businesses. Certification of good faith compliance and declaration
of any actual utilization pursuant to both programs are required at
the time of Bid Opening/Proposal Submission.
Bidders must demonstrate that an employee drug-testing program
is in place.
Metro and its contractors will not discriminate against any person(s)
