sculptures by Michelangelo called “Ma­
donna Della Pieta ” will be on display at
the Lawrence Gallery in the Pearl District,
between N. IV. 9"’ and Davis, on Sept. 12
and then moved to another branch in
Sheridan, from Sept. 1 3 - 1 5 .

portrayed in “Ken Burns American Stories, ” an
ongoing showing of the documentaries by award­

Commemorating Sept. 11; Sept. 12
The Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center is hosting a
patriotic presentation called “We Hold These Truths”
on Sept. 12 at both 10a.m. and 1 p.m. in the IFCC theatre.

Mt. Angel Oktoberfest; Sept. 12 - 15
Mt. A ngel’s annual Oktoberfest runs from Sept. 1 2 -
15. Every year over 350,000 people come to Mt. Angel
