Oregon State University (OSU) is seeking proposals from ar­
chitectural firm s interested in providing professional services
from the schematic design Phase through the Construction
Services Phase to add 10,000 seats to, and partially reno­
vate, Reser Stadium. Reser is an outdoor stadium and home
to the 2000 PAC-10 co-champion Oregon State University Bea­
vers. The facility was originally constructed in 1953 and has
had periodic renovations and additions, including most, recently
(1997), the Valley Football Center which houses the football
program personnel and training facilities.
The Request for Proposal is the first step in a two-step pro­
cess to obtain a design consultant to accomplish the design
services. The first step will result in development o f a short­
list of consultants, who will be invited to interview as the sec­
ond step. The result of those interviews will be the selection
of a firm to accomplish the design.
OSU is seeking a professional design team headed by an Ar­
chitectural firm experienced in Higher Education work. The team
should include structural, civil, mechanical and electrical engi­
neers, as well as a landscape architect.
