Mrs. Williams was Elnora Williams bom Elnora Thomas on Sept. 15,1915, in Eunice, La. She moved to Portland in about 1945 and was a homemaker. She was a member of the church for more than30years. In 1944, she married Burrell Williams; he died in 1979. Survivors include her daughter, Sibyl; sister, Laura Barber; brother, Matthew Thomas; four grandchil­ dren; and one great-grandchild. Arlene Davis A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 17,2001, in New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Portland for Arlene Davis, who died Dec. 11 at age 77. Mrs. Davis was bom Arlene McGee on April 20, 1924, in Vian, Okla. She moved to V anport in 1945, and after surviving r i e s the 1948 flood lived in Vancouver, Wash., until 1951, when she moved to Portland. She was a homemaker and also a teacher’s aide in Humboldt Elementary School for about five years until 1973. A member o f the church for 43 years, she was a deaconess, served on its usher board and was president o f the missionary department. In 1951, she married Willie I. Davis; he died last year. Survivors include her son, Willie J.; and two grandchildren. Arrangements by Killingsworth Little Chapel of the Chimes. Ella L. Hagger A funeral is scheduled at 11 a.m. W ednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, in Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Portland for Ella L. Hagger, who died Dec. H a t age 71. Mrs. Hagger was bom Ella Babineaux on Jan. 24, 1930, in Lake Charles, La. She m oved to Portland in 1965 and was a nu rse’s aide for Legacy Em anuel H ospital, retir­ ing in 1995. In 1950, she married Clarence Hagger; he died in 1997. Survivors include her sons, D arrell, C larence Jr., Craig and K eith; daughter, Lynette Peters; sister, D orothy R obertson; brother, John E u­ gene; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grand­ children.
