Dorado. The villainous El Grincho and his banditos,
“rap-artist” Homes and “thick-witted” Pancho, are
lured by the scent of gold to the town’s dusty mines.
Meanwhile, buzzing holiday rapture dances through El
Dorado. The glee of young children and window
shoppers echo through the streets, until El Grincho’s
scandalous plan unfolds, and the people of El Dorado
find themselves in a jingled holiday jumble - a festive
flurry of chaos and mystery, greed and innocence!
The play will continue through Dec. 16, Fridays at 8
p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday
matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12. Complimentary
tickets are available for Musical Theatre Company

WASHINGTON <AP> —
Cuba’s condemnation of ter
rorism after the Sept. 11 attacks
should encourage the United
States to take a fresh look at its
policy toward the island, a
group of Cuba experts.
The 24-person group said in
a statement that the adminis
tration should consider remov
ing Cuba from its list of coun
tries that sponsor terrorist ac
tivities.
“For the United States to
hold that Cuba is a terrorist
state isolates the United States
more than it does Cuba," said
the Center for International
Policy, a liberal research group.
It noted that America’s closest
allies are in disagreement with
the U.S. position.
Cuba has criticized the U.S.
bom bing cam paign in A f
ghanistan but the statem ent
said this should not be a bar
rier to closer relations, point
ing out that other countries
share that view.
Many longtime critics of U.S.
policy signed the statement,
including W ayne Smith, a
former U.S. diplomat who is an
associate at the center.
The statement said that a
dialogue with Cuba on terror
ism could be useful because
Cuba has long-standing and
close relationships with a num
ber of countries in the Middle
East.
“Given the common goal of
eradicating terrorism, there may
be ways in which, through con
structive and imaginative di
plomacy, that influence could
be directed toward positive
ends," it said.
During talks on m igration
in Havana, Cuba proposed a
te rro ris t in fo rm a tio n e x
change with the United States
but U.S. officials showed no
interest, partly because o f
C uba's forceful opposition to
the Am erican m ilitary cam
