Gallery Showing at Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center
Throughout November
The Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center will be showing recent paint­
ings o f Ok Ji Radda and "Hangul” (Korean writing) calligraphy and late
19* century Korean calligraphy tools and furnishings will be on display.

The American Advertising Museum

For the first time, the New York Art Directors Club is sending the winners
o f its prestigious annual international advertising and design compe­
tition to Portland. The best o f 133 entries will be on display at the
American Advertising Museum, located at 211 NW. 5,h and Davis until
I Dec. 2. This year again, there is a Student Category in the annual awards.

.OMSI's Film on Egypt
Through Jan. 16
The Oregon Museum o f Science and Industry’s OMNIMAX Theatre
will be brining back six of the most popular large screen films during the
“A Really Really Big Film Festival, running through Jan. 16. The six films
include: “Everest,” “The Living Sea,” “Antarctica,” “Dolphins,” “Mys­

Oregon Symphony Concert

Timothy Scott, Oregon Symphony cellist, and pianist Susan Smith will
present an old-fashioned recital o f romantic music for cello and piano

"9 Eleven," A Marshall High School Play
Nov. 14 & 15
Marshall High School students will present “9 Eleven,” an original piece
featuring poetry, vignettes and music in response to the events of Sept.

A Ghost Play at Coho Theatre
Nov. 16 & 17
CoHo Productions, a new 90-seat theater in Northwest Portland is
opening with “The Haint,” a Southern Gothic ghosv story with 13

Warner Pacific College Presents

Improvisational J a n Collaborations
Thursday, Nov. 15
The Creative Music Guild is proud to present The “Instant Composers
Pool” Orchestra, one of Europe’s most important improvising large
ensembles, in a rare return engagement. The orchestra features nine of
Holland’s greatest improvising musicians. This collective is respon­
sible for some of the most important collaborations with great practitio­
ners o f improvisational jazz. The ICP Orchestra will be in concert at the

The third and final community-organizing forum for the Bosco-Milligan
Foundation’s African American buildings history documentary-in-
