Native American Homicide Victim Portland Police Bureau Homicide Investigators, in cooperation with Crime Stop­ pers, are asking for your help in solving a homicide. On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Portland Police Officers re­ sponded to a report of a body, under the overpass, near the intersection o f SW Arthur and SW N aito Parkway. W ebb was arrested in July and charged with disorderly conduct for pedaling around downtown Bend in the nude. Alana Brenneman, her attor­ ney, said that charge is without merit because Webb did not cause any inconvenience, annoyance or alarm. Moses Williams, a friend o f W ebb’s, said Webb was fighting the charge because non-sexual public nudity is not against the law. “She has the right to express herself,” he said. "Nudity is not disorderly conduct." A new trial date was set for Jan. 27. Man Critically Wounded from Gun Shooting in Vancouver On Nov. 4 at about 0216 hours, Vancouver Police Offic­ ers were dispatched to investi­ gate a shots fired call in the 300 block o f East Mill Plain. Upon their arrival, 27-year old Jose S au c e d o C o rd e ro , o f Hillsboro, was found to be suf­ fering from a single gunshot wound to the neck. He was trans­ ported by ambulance to the Emanuel Hospital in Portland and is in critical condition. It is expected that the victim will survive his injuries. Initial investigation revealed the shooting took place as the victim was driving his vehicle east bound in the 200 block o f Mill Plain. At least four shots were fired at the victim ’s vehicle. A male pas­ senger with the victim is un­ harmed. Interviews with the passenger and others in the area indicated the shots may have been fired from a black, full size pickup truck last seen east bound on Mill Plain. No further suspect infor­ mation is available. At the present time, no mo­ tive for the shooting has been discovered. Roselawn on Thursday left 25-year old Samantha Davis and 33-yearold Hans Jensen dead and two others seriously injured. Jack Finders o f the city Fire Bureau said the man and a woman who died in the fire were living in the basement - unable to get out of the burning house. Finders said neighbors spotted the flames shortly after midnight, reported the fire and helped two men get out o f the house. Those two men are listed in serious condi­ tion with smoke inhalation at Legacy Emanuel Hospital, and at least one is also being treated for bums. Finders said no firefighters were injured. The fire started at the rear o f the house, but Finders said it remains unclear whether it started on the inside or outside. The cause re­ mains under investigation and there was no immediate estimate o f damages. Injured Woman Stranded in Forest Park (AP) — Police say a jogger found an injured woman Saturday morning in Forest Park who had been stranded fornearly four days. Police say 56-year-old Minnie Young told them she walked onto the Wildwood Trail on Tuesday to be alone. They say there is no evidence o f foul play. It w asn’t clear if Young had tripped and injured herself or if she had spent the time in the park for another reason. She was found lying some distance from the trail and taken to a hospital for observation. Y oung was reported m issing by her fam ily after disappearing Tuesday. Virtually no research exists on how African American and Hispanic families experience and manage ADHD, what health needs they may have, and Randy Decker was charged Monday with two counts o f bur­ glary and two counts o f theft. Police said he was identified by a KGW viewer who recognized Decker from a store surveilance video shown on television. Shooting Victims Found (AP) — A southeast Portland man apparently beat his wife in an attempt to kill her before shooting and killing himself, police said. After receiving an incomplete 9-1-1 call Oct. 29 from Cherie Lynn Blake, 46, police found her in her home with critical head injuries, the result o f blunt-force trauma, police said. Richard Ray Blake, 54. was found dead o f an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The couple had been separated since 1999 but continued to live next door to each other and see each other socially. Detectives determined that the injury and death were a domestic violence-related attempted mur­ der and suicide, said Sgt. Brian Schm autz, a P ortland police spokesman.
