Maurice Cheeks and the Blazers
in the Rose Garden on Oct. 17,
when W estern Conference rival
Sacramento visits the Rose G ar­
den. The Blazers host the Golden
State W arriors on Oct. 23, and the
new-look Memphis Grizzlies, fea­
turing Shane Battier on Oct. 26.

ing from prostate cancer.
According to the “Boston
Herald,” Jones confirmed
that he has been diagnosed
with prostate cancer, but his
prospects for a full recov­
ery are excellent.

Bowl will be played Feb. 3
and remain in New Orleans,
allowing a normal playoff

York Knicks on Oct. 30 at
7:30 p.m., will air on TBS.
Washington ’ s next game, at

1 at 8 p.m., will be on TNT.
