One in five Latino and Asian men reported they had been the victim s o f ra­ cially m otivated police stops. On W ednesday, May 9, at approxim ately 6 p.m. on S.E. 30,h and Haw thorne, near the Express Grocery, 45-year-old Joseph Nesby, who was a transient, was seriously injured in a fight with another man. Nesby was transported to a local hospital and later to a care facility, where he eventually died from his in­ juries.
