cently announced that they have
signed free agent forward Ruben
Patterson to an offer sheet, ac
cording to President and General
Manager, Bob Whitsitt.
The Seattle SuperSonics have
15 days to match the Blazers offer.
Patterson, who is 26-years-old,
averaged 13.0points,5.0rebounds
and 2.1 assists in 76 games with
the Seattle SuperSonics last sea
son. He has career averages o f
11.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6
assists over three seasons.
Patterson was a second round
.draft pick (31s1 overall) in the 1998
NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lak
ers. He signed a free agent contract
