The Portland General Elec­ tric Children’s Area will present face painting, beadmaking and storytelling. Children may also learn to make African rainsticks and masks. An African marketplace will offer the sale o f traditional prod­ ucts, and ethnic food vendors are on-site. The Homowo Festival o f Af­ rican Arts, now in its 12,h year, is hosted by world-renowned percussionist Obo Addy. The event is a traditional Ghanaian harvest festival o f welcome and Thanksgiving. It blends Afri­ can music, dance, pageantry, crafts and demonstrations.
