“Since the late 1950s, the U nited
States has already poured over $ 120
billion into m issile defense efforts
w ith alm ost nothing to show for it.
But the m ore w e spend, the m ore
likely w e w ill push countries that
already have nuclear w eapons, such
as R ussia and C hina, to m aintain or
expand their arsenals.
“ W e risk destroying the entire
