Killingsworth, held an informal graduation cer­ emony June 9 to acknowledge the success of the volunteer- based organization. People o f all ages and eth­ nic backgrounds came to ­ gether for the celebration. Johnnie A. Gage, former ex­ ecutive director of House of Umoja, who took a job with the Eisenhower Foundation in February, flew in from Wash­ ington, D.C. to act as Master of Ceremonies. S tate Rep. D eborah Kafoury and Portland School Board Elect Lolenzo Poe ar­ rived to speak in support of the project and its contribu­ tions to the community.
