SQL Server/Data Warehouse. This
position supports the Relational
Database Management System
used by the Department of Com­
munity and Family Services and all
functions related to such database
administration. Database Admin­
istrator will also be an integral part
of the Data Resources Team which
is responsible for the Develop­
ment, evaluation and implementa­
tion of a comprehensive data ware­
house as well as the analysis,
design, implementation, apd main­
tenance of new and existing rela­
tional databases. Work location is
downtown Portland. The Database
Administrator will install, imple­
m ent, m anage, and upgrade
RDBMS s o ftw a re (MS SQL
Server); create databases and all
database com ponents; design
database , models; implement and
manage all facets o f the physical
layout of database objects, and
RDBMS use of hard disk space;
ensure that database and trans­
action log backups are performed
regularly; manage all security for
database access and for applica-
. tion front-ends; monitor RDBMS
and database increasingly respon­
sible systems analysis and pro-
. gramming experience. At least
three years of database program­
ming experience and six months
project coordination experience;
AND a Bachelors degree or equiva­
lent from an accredited college or
university with major course work
in computer science, information
systems or a related field. Start­
ing salary is $ 2 4 .7 7 per hour
($24.77-$30.47 full range). Apply

perienced Communications Spe­
cialist to join local nonprofit orga­
nization. Primary responsibility in­
cludes graphic design of agency
marketing materials, maintaining
agency website, coordinating tar­
geted media campaigns, writing
media kits, speeches, and a quar­
terly newsletter. Reporting to the
Public Relations Director, the suc­
cessful candidate will have a mini­
mum of 5 years' experience in a
communications role, with demon­
strated success in managing all
aspects of a communications pro­
gram, excellent writing, editing and
presentation abilities, strong ana­
lytical and interpersonal skills.
C andidates m ust have strong
graphic design and project man­
agement skills. Experience in non­
profit field essential. Must be a
self-starter with a high com fort
level in a team-oriented work envi­
ronment and a talent for manag­
ing multiple time-sensitive projects
sim ultaneously. Experience in
brand management and marketing
is a plus, but not e s s e n tia l.
Bachelor's degree in a related field
and five or more years' relevant
experience required.
