H ood N ational Forest will host a Junior Fishing Clinic for chil­ dren 13 and under, Saturday at T ril­ lium Lake from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. No fishing license is required. Children w ill learn to fish w ith the experts. T here will be many stations set up w here children can learn about safety w hen fishing, catch and re­ lease, and enjoy other activities such as fish painting. They often make citizens callbacks for police who are on the street, thereby elim inating the need for officers to return to the precinct to make telephone calls. Citizens wishing to fill out accident reports, meet with officers to dis­ cuss neighborhood concerns, meet with supervisors regarding officer com plaints, or who are used to calling their neighborhood precinct for any community policing issue will have to do so during regular business hours. “We realize that we may no longer be able to effectively meet some o f your ex pectations during tim es m ost convenient for you,” said N ortheast P recinct C om m ander Derrick Foxworth. “However, we will continue in our efforts to pro­ vide the best service to our com ­ munity in spite o f this reduction o f service.” w eather changes.
