The* group also p rese n ts a cover o f Cyndi L auper’s 1986 G ram m y-nom inated hit single “True C o lo rs,” w hich featues soloist Jonette H agebusch, a senior at Prairie High School. The Rose Festival Court is com prised o f 14 outstanding w om en who w ere selected from 14 P ortland-area high schools by their respective stu­ dent bodies. Each Court Mem­ b er re p re se n ts her school throughout the months o f May and June at many community events, including meetings with business leaders, visits to hospi­ tals and meetings with a variety o f civic groups. To qualify for the Rose Festi­ val Court, young women must be full-time students, members o f their graduating classes, have grade point averages o f at least 2.75, demonstrate good citizen­ ship and have good attendance records.
