Our circulation department is looking into
that matter. Thank you for bringing it to
our attention.

Looking for AAOW
I found out about your publication
because a fellow worker who lives in
Troy, Mich, brought it into the office
for me to see. I am an African
American living in Detroit and get
the Sunday Morning (Detroit) News
and I have never seen this magazine
nor have I seen it at my mother’s or
daughter's house in Detroit and they
get the newspapers every day. Since
this is an African -
Latinos On Wheels?
Why don’t you have a Hispanic
auto section?

Editor’s Note: Glad you asked. That's in
the works. Keep reading for a future
announcement as to when it will come.
Where are they now?
I received your magazine as a part
of the New York Sunday newspaper. I
am an open-wheel racing fan, mainly
CART and FI. Do you know whatev
er became of Benny Scott, an African
American who raced F5000 in the
70's? Did you know that McLaren
now has a 15-year-old go-cart racer
from England who is Black, under
contract also? One of the former co
owners of the Arrows team is
Nigerian. Is he interested in
American open wheel racing?
Editor's Note: Sorry we can’t answer any
of your questions just yet, but we will pur
sue for future issues.
American magazine,
wouldn’t it serve more African
Americans if it was also distributed in
their areas? There are a number of
positive images and opportunities
being missed by the very people this
magazine talks about. I am pleased
that the magazine is being distributed
in the suburbs so that they can see
that there are so many positive
African Americans but our young
people need to see this, too. They also
need to know about the opportuni
ties that are being offered and the
automotive careers they strive to
obtain. Please consider expanding
your distribution.

to newspapers and is distributed to zoned
subscribers to those papers. In lay terms,
