The m onks o f Drepung Lose ling M onastery w ho m ake up T he M ysti­ cal Arts o f Tibet group perform sa­ cred music and dances originally used in Tibetan spiritual festivals. Their multiphonic singing - multiphonic means the ability o fo n e individual to intone three notes at one time, creat­ ing a single chord - has becom e particularly famous in the West. Ti­ betans are the only cul ture on earth to cultivate this extraordinary vocal ability.
