turned in to the O regon H ealth D ivi­
sion for another three w eeks, health
officials say spot checks indicate
m ost schools sent few students hom e
last W ednesday, the E xclusion D ay
deadline for getting kids vaccinated
o r shot records o r exem ption notices
turned in.

im m unization law for the state, said
anyw here from 14 percent to 18 per­
cent o f children in day-care centers,
H ead Start program s and schools are
turned aw ay from school each winter.
So although Tim m ons still expects
a bigger crop ofex clu sio n s this year,
the low num bers got high praise.
