N otice is hereby given th a t a public hearing, if so requested by any
interested person, will be held by the Tri-County Metropolitan Transpor­
ta tio n D istrict o f Oregon (Tri-Met) in Room C of the Portland Building,
1 1 2 0 S.W. Fifth Avenue, Portland at 9 :0 0 AM on Wednesday, Novem­
ber 2 2 , 2 0 0 0 . The purpose o f th is hearing is to consider a grant
am endm ent for federal § 5 3 0 9 Congressional earmark funs form the
Federal Transit A dm inistration, which is being sought for construction
o f T ri-M et's M ilw aukie Transit Center. Persons requesting th a t th is
hearing be convened should contact Tri-M et's Finance Adm inistrator

Oregon State University is seeking proposals from consulting firm s
interested in providing design services for parking lots to be constructed
at nine locations on the OSU Corvallis Campus. Prioritization o f park­
ing lot design and required tim e o f construction has not been estab­
lished at th is tim e. The Owner may choose to spread construction of
the parking lots over a 2-3 year period. This Request for Proposal is
the first step in a two-step process to obtain a design co nsultant to
accomplish the design of these projects. The firs t step will result in
the developm ent o f a sh ort-list o f consultants, who will be invited to
interview as the second step. The result o f the interview s will be the
selection o f one or more firm s to accom plish the design. OSU may
select a single consultant to design all parking lots, or may choose to
select multiple designers.

Responses to the RFP will be due by 3PM, December 1, 2 0 0 0 . No
responses will be accepted after the specified date and tim e. Re­
sponses may be rejected for non-compliance with all response require­
m ents and procedures, or for good cause upon a finding th a t it is in
the interest o f OSU to do so.
This project has been selected through Tri-Met’s planning process,
which incorporates public involvement, and is programmed in the M et­
ropolitan and State Transportation Im provem ent Programs. No per­
sons, fa m ilie s, or b usinesses will be displaced by the projects. The
project described above is in conform ance with comprehensive land
use and tran sp o rta tio n planning in the area.
In th e event a hearing is held, Tri-Met will afford opportunity for
interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social,
econom ic, and environm ental aspects o f the project.
