recovering addict. Bom in 1950, in Bakersfield, California,
Savon Lindsey began writing poetry when he started second
grade in elementary school. As an adult he became an
alcoholic and drug addict. His works speak of an America
that has been ripped apart by alcoholism, drug use and
addiction, as
