Portland Observer Publisher Charles Washington presents a
scholarship check to Naim Hason on behalf o f his son, from
the Joyce Washington Memorial Fund. The money will help
Hakim Hason attend Howard University in Washington, D.C.
Hakim graduated this year from Benson High School where
he was captain o f the varsity basketball team, while earning
an accumulative 3 . 7 GPA.
