Congratulations Peninsula 9-10 year old girls
Peninsula Little league all-star
team won the District One
Softball championship by
beating Scappoose's 9/10 year
old all-star team. The team was
lead by Glenn McDonald-Mgr,
Head Coach, Asst, Coaches
Anthony H uff and Willie Horsley.
There were 11 girls on the team;
Tyrisha Blake, Jazmine Bowles,
Felicia Brown, Zarrah Buitron,
Shanala Fischer-Williams, Tara
Harvey, Erykah Horsley,
Laquisha Huff, Marjory
McDonald, Jasmine Millage,
Laurel Miller.
The team went on to state to play seven other
districts throughout the state in Grants Pass, Oregon
where district hosted the tournament. Peninsula's
team went on to take fourth in the state winning
against district #3, Pendleton Little League.
P eninsula was su pported by business and
community members, in theirfundraising efforts to-
get the team, sta ff and chaperones to the tournament
and cover all the costs fo r them. Thank you to all,
we raised close to $1,400.
