J.T. Taylor, formerly o f “ Kool &
the Gang” will perform at Chinook

versatility o f J.T. Taylor, an integral
part o f Kool and the Gang from
1979 to 1988 when they created
hits such as “Celebration.”
His singing, songwriting and acting
abilities continue to provide his fans
with many different opportunities
to enjoy themselves. In 1988, when
he decided to pursue a solo career,
it was as productive as had been the
time with Kool and the Gang. His
music has been heard in such movies
as "Tap" and “Ghostbusters Two”,
and he had his first film role in
“Mambo Kings.” Soon after, he
landed the leading role in his first
play, Lorraine H ansberry’s “Raisin
in the Sun.” In 1995, a reunion with
his former band, resulted in a new
album, television appearances and
a rebirth o f both his and the band’s
careers. This rebirth created an
impetus, which allowed them to hit
“THE ENVELOPE”

featured are Parsons' Sleep Study, Leslie
Bravermans Sob As It Began, and Five,
the tour market. His show features
all his hits from his time with Kool
and the Gang, his solo career, and
his direction forthe future. His most
recent hit, “How,” is listed as #25
with a bullet on te R&B Chart.
Concert times are 8 pm, June 23,
and 7 & 10 pm, June 24 with ticket
